Y was a suspect in a drive-by shooting on Waverley Road in Birmingham . Together with two others he faced a trial for Murder, Attempted Murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. At the end of a 5 week prosecution case, a successful submission of no case to answer was made on behalf of Y and the jury were directed to enter a not guilty verdict.
K was a suspect in a shooting on Witton Road in Birmingham. He together with five others went to trial for attempted murder. Other defendants were also charged with offences of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and aiding and abetting offenders including a legal representative. Whilst on court bail for the allegation of attempted murder, K was also arrested and charged with witness intimidation. Prior to the end of the prosecution case, the prosecutor offered no evidence against K. At a later date, the prosecution also offered no evidence in relation to the witness intimidation.
D was arrested for possession with intent to supply 2 kilos of heroin following the execution of a search warrant. No further action was taken against D.
A was a suspect in an allegation of murder which took place in Washwood Heath in Birmingham . A went to trial with one others for an allegation of manslaughter and was acquitted by a jury. His co-defendant represented separately by another firm was convicted of the manslaughter allegation.
A was arrested for the attempted murder of a police officer. Following interviewing, no further action was taken against A by the police.
D & L were alleged to have been part of a group who entered a Public House in Uplands Road in Birmingham during the Lozelles riots and were arrested for attempted murder together with a number of robberies. No further action was taken against D & L by the police.
S, K1, A, K2 , A2, and U were all suspects in an allegation of murder which took place during the Lozelles riots. Following lengthy police bail, No further action was taken against all six by the police. Three others represented by different firms were convicted following a trial of the same murder and received a life sentence with a recommendation to serve at least 25 years.
C was arrested and charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs involving the wide scale distribution of class A drugs from the midlands area through to Aberdeen. C was acquitted of conspiracy to supply and was dealt with for money laundering by way of a community punishment order. All other defendants received custodial sentences.
M was arrested for conspiracy to handle stolen vehicles involving what was described as one of the biggest “car-ringing” operations that the investigating officers had seen for the last decade. M pleaded guilty to handling one stolen vehicle and received a three month suspended sentence.
P was arrested for kidnapping and murder. The victim having been found dead by a canal in Tipton Birmingham. The police alleged that P was involved in the kidnapping and murder. Following extensive interviewing, no further action was taken against P.
A was arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter, attempted murder x 9 and arson with intent to endanger life. Following a three week trial, A was acquitted of all 12 counts. His co-defendant represented by a different firm was convicted of manslaughter and arson and received 11 years custody.
Four members of Family A were arrested for aggravated burglary against Family B. Two members of Family A were subsequently arrested for violent disorder against Family B. Ten members of Family A were then arrested for section 18 wounding against Family B. All three allegations took place within a short period of time the family were represented by Hussain Solicitors and no further action was taken against them by the police.
A was arrested for attempted murder following a shooting in the Balsall Heath area of Birmingham.

R was arrested for conspiracy to commit mass murder whereby there was a plot to blow up aeroplanes in mid-flight resulting in the death of potential thousands of persons. Following 13 days of interviewing R was released without any further action.
R was arrest and charged with murder in Burton-Upon-Trent following the discovery of a body where the death was caused by strangulation. Hussain Solicitors took over the conduct of the matter following the police station attendance and R was acquitted of murder and received a two year sentence for manslaughter.
M was arrested and charged for a conspiracy to defraud creditors to involving approximately £1,000,000 and above. The prosecution offered no evidence against M.
H was a trainee solicitor arrested for kidnapping. Following police interviews, no further action was taken
against him.
U, F1, K, F2, I and A were all arrested for murder following a shooting in Newtown. All six were dealt with by way of no further action by the police.
A and M were arrested for murder in Oldknow Road in Birmingham. Both were interviewed and released without any further action by the police.
